Attached are some in progress pics of Dragon's T34-85, weathered, (but awaiting Friul tracks).

The T34 is being rushed/ambushed by a small group of German figs from Academy and Dragon. These figs are in honor of Nate aka PorkChop and Frank aka PlasticBattle, who have been prodding me to try some figs for quite some time. These are my first ones.

The base is about 1/2 done, and the figs are not fully completed. The kneeling Panzerfaust soldier and the standing grenade thrower still need equipment added, (including a grenade for the throwing fig, and a rifle across the back of the Panzerfaust fig). The foliage on the base has to be toned down yet also.

Any helpful comments on the base, figs or vehicle will be appreciated. Thanks.
Steve

Steve ---- at last. I knew you had it in you. For first time figures they are great. Actually for more acomplished figure builders they are not half bad either!! I think your lights has washed out the skin tone abit and added a sheen in the pictures, but from what I can see they are excellent! Maybe if you get the weather you could photograph this outside! I think you should add some personal gear to the figs as tank hunters squads would be out in the bushes for some time maybe. This also adds life and realism to the figure.
Great ground work as well! The varirty of foilage is amazing. How come I cant find this stuff? Will look great when finished up and painted with the rest of the base. The T34 looks the part as well!

PS: It is true that Steve has been under pressure to paint some figures! Dont know about Nate, but I got a long range missle pointed at his back door and armed until I see some figures. The alert is now turned off but is still aimed unless we see more! #:-)

Lord WWH....nice work so far...can't wait to see the tracks. Just a suggestion, but maybe you want to give the troops a little more cover and concealment?? Allover nice job and I especially like the bucket ! Keep us updated .

The figures are superb! I like the sniper waiting to take out the crew when they bail out. If I didn't know better I'd say you were a surgeon Beermeister! How you paint those tiny details is beyond me

Awesome one, Lord 2 Parts Grenade. The figures are well done, and the tank is up to your usual high standard. Bucket is authentic, and add a lot to the little dio. good work!

SteveWWH,

I am really impressed by your T34 and the figures that you have done on the dio. I remembered that you told me figures are not your favorite part. I really wanna know how do you feel about painting figures.
Again, you have done a great job on the kit!

Hey Plastic, you push the guy and a little and he shows us up!!!!
Figures look great steve and T-85 is up to your your usual high standards (with that tried and true weathering of yours).
Nice dio idea as well, a lot of action, I haven't tried a dio in years... what type of surface will the tank be on, road, field etc?

This is looking excellent - it all seems to be coming together very well indeed! The groundwork is blended well together with the various types of foliage and the figures fit in just nice. I also like the way you have reworked the side of the tank with the unditching beams, cables & bucket etc.

Keep it coming!
