This is for a project that Robert Burik(burik) is heading up. This is 2nd Brigade, 3rd ID commanders M113 during the OIF Thunder Run. He had a camerman and reporter riding in his track. The figure with out the head right now will be COL Perkins and you can see I have the camerman positioned. I still need to add the reporter and one of COL Perkins track crew right next to him.

Looks great Pete.
Can you, please, talk about the kit, build process etc.?
Thanks!
Marco

The kit is the Tamiya Desert M113 that I had built but was in a box. I pulled it out and stripped it down and added more details and photo etch to it. The green thing to the right of the TC is an antenna mast. Robert sent pictures of the actual vehicle so that it could be almost 100% accurate. The numbers and "SPARTEN" head started out as decals and then I made them look like whats on the actual track with some paint. I have a SATCOM antenna I need to add to the left rear right next to the FBCB2 transciever and of course all the gear.

Well done, love to see the finished project! I am working on the Tamiya M106 Mortor vehicle as per my son's 3rd ID vehicle (he did 3 tours there). Problem is Tamiya does not make the latest version of the vehicle. (interior is different). MR Modelbau has the upgrade. Including the 120mm tube.

Got lots of work done on the COL's track. Finally attached the SATCOM antenna. As you can see, I also added the COL himself and Greg Kelly(the FOX reporter). The cameraman, Mal James, is not in his final position. I still need one more figure to put in the back hatch.
