Up next are some of the accessoires. I used the method of drybrushing for the first time.
For the bags I painted them kahki drab, then a drybrush with khaki and a third drybrush with a mixture of khaki with flat white.
The oil cans were painted desert yellow and a wash with ivory black. The barb wire was painted metallic grey with a wash of ivory black. The wooden crates were painted with natural wood. Then I painted them with Vandyck brown oil paints and directly scraped them of with a brush filled with white spirit.
Comments are welcome.
I'm thinking of applying some rust on the barb wire because they will hang on the outside.

Dirk,
Looking very good !! Maybe it's the flashlight that caused the to look a bit glossy, but if there is a bit of a gloss, be sure to give it a flat coat.... If the flash did it...no problem.
Maybe you want to add just a bit more white-ish highlights on the higher parts.?

BEP,
don't forget to paint the buckles blackened brass (maybe some wear along the edges) also the belts may be of a slightly different hue than the bags. The strings are most certainly of a different colour.

Hello,
I think the barbed wire will have been blacked out, and perhaps your roll should have some black on it with a bit of metal shining through and a bit of rust in various places. It would only be "shinny" if used commercially and very rusty if left out for quite some time.
I had the unfortunate luck to use this horrible material on numerous occasions whilst in the military.
The rolls are called Dannerts or Dannert Coils and are "bounced" out.
Hope this helps
