You have made a good start with your T-55.
However do you think that you have added too much glue to the model? Glue tends to dry transparently but it will show up clearly when painted?

Good start David. You might consider buying the Eduard PE sheets as they give you the right engine deck grilles.

Well, almost all the pics of the Czech exemplars which I've seen, actually had the covers open. I think they close them only when the vehichle is parked

The covers are also closed when the tank is driving under water, as in a deep river crossing. That is what they are for.

Dave,
don't forget to add the tiny bolt heads to the plate between the two engine grilles. On the kit one Tamiya represented 4 bolt heads which is correct for a Russian tank but not for the Czech one. You need to add 4 more on each side.
you can see them on one of the pictures Mauro posted above.

There are no plumbs there. It's just an external oil reservoir

nice work, I especially like the water runs, a lot of modellers miss adding different sheens to bring a build to life. your leaves are great too. good ideas, and well pulled off.

Excellent finish with all the mod work done. And what, Lespauljames, said. I also like seeing this and not enough modelers do it
