This is the Tamiya M-551 Sherdin that i am puting in a NTC dio that i have been working on . Still a ways to go here , if the weather holds up I might get to paint it tomorrow . The fuel drums on the rear deck are from the tamiya fuel drum set , the turret box is from the DML T-80 . The white plactic card is ever green . The turret sides are paper card stock ( i had a bit of bad luck with the plastic ) . The hoffman device , kill light and GPS antenna are from a trumpter m1 kit . thanks and enjoy

Great work on the VISMOD T-72, Toad! Gotta love them OPFOR vehicles.
How exactly did you use the paper card to build up the turret shape? It sounds interesting and I don't think I ever seen it done before.

This is cool---what a great representation of an unusual item. I'll jump in with Bombshell on the card stock---fill us in on this one would ya???
Very nice ---- Toad is UOM material in my humble opinion :-)

First, before I forget, Manie Warm Wishes.
WOW! This is awesome! I always admire people with superb scratching skill. Cat A.W.F. awed me with his scratching skirts on the IV, now this. It's flawless, will at least for me, since I know zeke of the subject you are modeling, so I can only comment on the workmanship. The tissue paper you are using, how you get to iron them out wrinkleless like this? I need to know!!!!!
Honestly, Toady, this baby is gonna be AWESOME!

Toad One-Three, Great job! I spent 4 years in Barstow/Irwin while my wife (comjam/SIGINT collection) killed Bluefor every rotation. Vismods are modeling subjects heretofor ignored IMHO. I've always wanted to do her Humvee/BRDM Vismod and the BMP113, as well. Stupid me, even though I had access to the OPFOR motor stables, I didn't get any pictures!! Well, what do you expect of a Zoomie?? Can't wait to see ur finished product.

AWESOME model!!!!!!!!!!
I've been To NTC CA and JRTC in LA and Have seen various VISMOD vehicles. This one is quite well done. CONGRATS. There are also a lot of VISMODS on the 113 chassis now because of $$$ and parts availability. The BMP, T-72, BMD are all copied on the M113. And they use the HMMV for the BRDM2 and other wheeled vehicles.
Osprey had a book on them, but I dont know if its still available.
Again great model........WAY TP THINK OUTSIDE the box.!!! Todd

Thanks guys , this tank is about all the scratch and patch that a poor frog can stand #:-) . This is a pic of how I did the undersideof the turret
Phantom _Major :This tank has been at the bottom of the shelf at the hobby shop for as long as i can remeber -(1993?) and it still cost me 25 $ it has the motorised gear box with it . A few if the parts for the running gear had to be re-built to get the right feel so I got to do quite a bit of scratch building on this baby . I wish that after market kits covered OPFOR VISMODS . ....Oh well toad-13 out
