Voyager Model went fast on this new set however at least the engine grille is the wrong type for the Meng AuF1. The model in the set is correct for a AMX30B2 chassis. Meng grille is correct.

Here is the updated set for the AUF 1, it is close to the AMX-30B with adder parts for the turret, nice set for the price, lots of very small parts and the nice thing about it is I will have enough to build the tank in the future.
Well I blew the dust off of the kit , reinstalled the tracks correctly and will pick up and finish soon I hope. I know I have taken a long time, but the parts were held back and I am not the fastest builder out there. I do not see how people can build a kit in a couple of days. I like to enjoy the build

Glad to hear your back to the Auf 1 Jim ! I ordered the kit, and a recent arrival of the same PE set...hopefully mine will progress as quickly. The interior work is just amazing
Looking forward to future updates!

Sorry for the slow start, its hard for me to pick up a kit that has set for awhile. I have started folding PE parts that I am using, Also has any one noticed that Trumpeter is coming out whit this kit also. If you check Facebook it has a couple of shots of the teat. If I read it right. Can some one look at it so that I may be wrong
update Here are the 2 photos I saw and they are different than MENGS parts on the parts tree and also the deck is different, so we may be seeing another kit soon
This is all that I know
Thanks
Jim

Both grilles are correct. The original early Auf1 indeed had a parallel louvers grille with a single bar accross it, but large number of photos show also the later grille with circular louvers and star shaped bars. I've even found photos of early Auf1s (flat APU exhaust and chevron type tracks) with the late grille, so maybe they were replaced at some point?

That could be possible but this is not the most common configuration. I'll try to check this at the Saumur museum.
