I'd be most grateful if anyone can tell me if there is a comapny that markets 1/35th sand tyres that could be fitted to a Dodge WC51 weapons carrier. I'm sure I've seen these somewhere on a website.
Many thanks

Sand tires? You mean the the directional ones like here
http://www.network54.com/Forum/110741/thread/1283353040/M6+37mm+Gun+Motor+Carriage+%28WC-55+Dodge%29
Those aren't "sand tires" but just early production ones. If you want them, the masters were sold to
http://www.formationsmodels.com/
They are not currently in their catalog but perhaps the owner might be convinced to cast a set for you.

I'm not sure these are "sand tires", but post war French Army Dodges in North Africa were often fitted with "civilian"-looking tires :

Henri-Pierre
These weren't the ones I had in mind, but if I can't get them I'll try to get some "civvy" ones like this.
Thank you
Richard Windrow.

Two French MP trucks in Algeria. The one on the right is apparently fitted with 3 different types of tires...

Frenchy,
many thanks for the pictures. I'm sure I'll be able to get something to suit from the information you've provided.
My thanks also to every one else who has taken the trouble to
help me out. I must confess to being a "Forum Virgin" - this is the first time I've ever posted and I'm most impressed with the knowledge dispalyed about a pretty obscure subject !

I've found the sand tyres for my Dodge on the Mr Modelbau site. Thanks for your help.
