I need a good nato green for my stryker , and I found this in my paint box, can I use it in my airbrush or will it clog and spit?.
It does say on the bottle that it is water soluble, so can I just thin it with water.
Thanks sam

Yes, you can.
Thinner seem to work better.
Whichever works best for you.

Yes, it can be sprayed. However, to get passable results, do not thin it with water. Instead, thin it 50/50 with Tamiya Lacquer thinner. If you can not find the Lacquer thinner, you can use tamiya X-20A thinner.

IPA is cheaper, and works much better than water. I can't discuss how it compares to thinner, as(for many years) I've never had any reason to deviate from the alcohol.

Sprayed this just the other day, without issue.
I used 50/50 - tamiya X-20A thinner.

The best I have found with Tamiya paint is Isopropil Alcohol. Thins the paint down nice and dries quick. Give it a try!! Have Fun

As others have already said, the best thinner for Tamiya Acrylic paints is their Lacquer thinner, as it really breaks down the paint pigment, but there is that lacquer smell, and clean up. Their X20-A is Iso alcohol based but won't yield as smooth of a finish.
Using Iso alcohol straight (70%) just evaporates too quickly to let the paint hit the surface wet, then dry. A good home brew with 70% Iso alcohol is cut with 25% distilled water, and a few drops of Liquidtex retarder.
