Hi Everyone,
This is a mash-up of the Real Models LAV III TUA, the AFV Club Stryker (M1126) and the Trumpeter LAV III TUA. The Trumpeter kit donated the turret and the commanders hatch (and a few small bits here and there).
I used the Trumpeter turret because the Real Models turret shows the system powered down (launcher at rest). The model does include the up-armored "MEXAS" plates on the hull and turret.
The turret co-ax machine gun was a bit tricky, especially with figuring out the ammunition feed.
I would appreciate feedback before paint goes on.
Thanks!
Bill

That is one impressive build! I can't see any problems with it, but I'm not a modern guy.

Very nice build of this LAV. You have gone a good job, keep us posted once complete. If you need photos of the real deal shoot me a PM.
Cheers

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for the compliment.
You are always such a great reference for Modern Canadian stuff! Actually I think the walk around on Prime Portal by Dan Hay was a Godsend for this project, as good as the Real Models conversion the vehicle is so detailed it is stressful.
If you have any images of the co-ax machine gun mounted and loaded on the TOW turret I would love to see them because the ammunition tray and the belt feed on mine were both educated guesses.
Thanks Again!
