Riich is releasing one (maybe better ) real soon. I'll pass on the Zvezda.

You've been luck, Cap! My issue has the gun barrel halfs so twisted, they may pass for boomerangs. Boy, was I disappointed, when I opened that box. I was expecting a lot more from Zvesda. As it seems they remain the proverbial box of chocolates...

This is the old Max/Airfix/Italeri/Testors/Revell/Zvesda/etc, kit & dates from the 70's
Sorry to hear you had a banana barrel, bad quality control? I put a steel rod in an Airfix 17pdr barrel to correct it, you might try that? Or cover it with tarpaulins in travel mode, like the Resicast version.
SFAIK, ( So Weit Wie Ich Weiss ) there is no metal barrel for this gun, as the 6pdr barrels I've seen are for tank guns, & the profiles are different....
Go on, now someone prove me wrong..
I built this with the Airfix boxed QL portee, very good, for it's age, but I wouldn't pay Tamiya prices for it now, Looking forward to the Riich release, though it is a different mark of gun.

Again, why didn't Zvezda cash in here and make the other variants on this base kit....I'll say it again Brit/ US AIRBORNE versions please somebody...!!! Which needs muzzle break and folding trails.....hopefully RIICH models will come through with an airborne version?

Riich is much more likely, as:
they already have a track-record in doing variants
& it has much newer moulds, (probably already designed for variants), we shall see when sprue-shots appear.

I'm not sure, but I think the Zzezda/Revell-Italeri/Peerless-Max/Airfix, etc. etc. is a bit over-scale. Maybe 1/32. It certainly looks too big next to 1/35 figures. Once Riich releases it's 6 lb'er maybe they'll follow up with a 57mm.

Riich, as far as I understand, are interested in taking the 'basic' model as far as posible, so I'd be pretty sure the 57mm WILL be coming at some future date...

The airborne version would be very welcome.
