Hi Michael, that is a fantastic job, love the subtle weathering and the figures. It all ties together nicely. Thanks for sharing. Regards....Dale

Hi Michael,

sorry this has been under my radar since I joined last May. A fantastic project 3 years duration albeit with some intermissions, I’ve just read through it from day 1 - you totally deserve those prizes, a brilliant job. (sotto voce…just a bit (more?)brownish pastel dust over it would make it perfect). Superb!! What’s next?

Cheers, Tim

Thanks Tim. I usually go kind of heavy on the dust and weathering with my models but in all the photos I have seen of the RSO prototype it appears that an attempt was made to keep the sheet metal fairly clean. I can see the builders doing this as it was intended to be presented to the military command for acceptance and I believe Hilter himself might have reviewed these first trials. . .

. . . So spit and polish was the order of the day! The wood parts and the wheels were harder to keep clean.

Tonight I am having to take things one step further:

I said earlier that I thought this chunky trailer was a better match for the RSO so I figured I needed to do a little modification.

Using a second Blitz load box from my scrap parts box I built the extended sides. This is the result.

Also added the previously missing hand brake lever:
