Hi Guy's
I was wondering if their would be any interest in a campaign were the vehicles had to have seen active service in two separate wars, not hand me downs from one ally to another.
Eg panzer IV J, WW2 & Six day war
M18 Hellcat WW2 & Yugosal Civil war
Centurion Korean War & Veitnam & Arab / Israeli wars
T34 WW2 & every where else their has been a war!!
Mark V WW1 & Russian civil war
Etc Etc
Just throwing idea's about for something different

Must be unstarted kits, dispensation given on this point only to military personal on active service
Start end this year
Finish say mid next year for a rough gauge??
Cheers Mike

Sounds interesting!

I could well be IN...

Add to your list: There has to be something out there in almost any stash that could play in this campaign!

French renault FT (WWI, WWII)
French Hotchkiss H38/39 (WWII, Israeli 1956+)
Sherman versions (WWII, post-WWII mid-east, etc.)
Russian T-26 versions (WWII, Spanish CW)
German Pz. I (WWII, Sino-Japan 1935+, Spanish CW)
Russian BTR 60/70/80 everywhere wars want to be since 1970
US M113 'Nam to present
German SdKfz 221/222 cars Sino-Japan 1936+, WWII
.....

IF you want to consider some soft-skins... here's a brief start!

US Jeep
US Dodge 3/4 t trucks
US 2 1/2 ton trucks
US M151 mutt
US Hummer versions
Russian GAZ "jeeps" and various trucks
Russian pre-WWII trucks (Spanish CW, WWII, elsewhere)
....

I think I could jump in with a T-26 version or maybe a Pz. 1A or SdKfz 221.

Just to add a couple more to the list....

M24 Chaffee (WW2, Korea, Algeria & Indochina)
Universal Carrier (WW2, Korea, IDF)
M2/3 Scout Car
M551 Sheridan (Vietnam, Panama, NTC)

Didn't the North Koreans use Stuarts in their initial invasion of the South during the Korean War? I think they were sourced from Chinese and/or Soviet lend-lease vehicles.

Sounds cool. Sign me up please. I can do a Spanish Civil War Pz I. No issues if the campaign gets to start earlier than year-end. Cheers, Tat

Hi Mike,
if this takes off, I´d like to do something a bit different.
Would you allow one of the mentioned vehicles finished
half in the original and half in the later version?
Like a now and then or before and after foto.

Paul leave it to you to come up with that first a black and white Tiger now this, I think it's a great idea
I think if it's allowed I could try and do my SU-100 like that half 1944 Russian and half Egyptian

Paul, that's a pretty slick way to present a vehicle for this campaign. If you don't mind, I might like to go with a similar presentation.

Hi Sean,

I think soft skins can be included as it looks like we may need to branch out to get a few more people on board to get it off the ground.

Paul,Sal & Alex,

Paul I think that is a fantastic idea & will let that be done for sure!!!

The "before and after" actually sounds like it could be a very good theme for a campaign all its own Of course it also fits right into this campaign, as the theme is stuff getting a second war exposure.

This split vehicle idea has entranced me for a bit... I assembled kits and goods a while back to do an "early production" Brumbar depicting both a first fielding at Kursk and a second, later re-fielding of one with zimmerit and the revised schurzen as the early appeared with in Italy - It's in the early (ha ha) stages of assembly - tracks, wheels. I have not yet figured exactly the hull-and-casemate split - I don't really want to saw the bun-barrel, for example - so maybe it will split sort of diagonally... I'm using the Cyber Hobby early and the Dragon early with zimm kits, and currently think I'll have a glass partition between them. Lots to figure out yet!

Guys should go for this here!

Hi there,
well then Sal, Alex and Bob I´m glad you all like my idea , and Mike I promised you a second feature from "Badmans
Madlab" so now you´ll get it, only in four different ways.
All we have to do now is get 3 more to take part?

I´ve just ordered a Dragon Panzer IV J and a Tamiya T55, not sure which I´ll fit in here but I´m really leaning to the P.IV (LAH left and Syrien right) split down the middle.

Hey Ho, Lets Go

Paul, it's a good idea. I think it fits perfectly with the spirit of this campaign. The Panzer 4 would be great because it is symmetrical.

I'm still not sure what I would do. Maybe a M551 Sheridan split as a Vietnam era vehicle and one from the Gulf War. Or a M60A3 in US service and a IDF one with Blazer armor.

I've built the Academy Gulf War Sheridan and know it has a lot of the Vietnam version's pieces. I'm not sure if it's enough to represent both versions. And I'm not sure if the Vietnam version would do that either. I really don't want to buy both versions.

Hi Alex, I´d go for the M60, and split it so that the left
side has the Blazer and the right the .50 cal turret. As for the M551, I don´t know enough about the kits, I have read that there are some serious shape issues with the turrets, but I do like the tank though.
Lets just hope some more lads jump on this, as it is going to be something different.

Hello everyone out there, it would be a shame to let this campaign from Mike drop into nothingness . There are so many ideas out there, that this should really take off.

Mike have you put this on the Aeroscale and MSW sites?
