finally I started my RMG project converting DML German tank Crew figures to Dutch Resistance. Civilian clothing, armbands are made from sylmasta putty, arms, hands and heads from spare box. critics will be appreciated as always. (I know figures need a final detailing.)

Engin,
Impresive converions dude !!!! That's the resistance allright !!
One thing about the weapons.... I don't know whether or not Dutch resistance used German Guns....it sounds logical if they did.... they got plenty of those weapons from the depots they attacked.... In the stories I read they where always talking about English and US weapons they used... those weapons where secretly dropped from the sky for the resistance on the ground.
So, I really don't know...it looks perfectly spot on with these German Guns.... I might have been reading the wrong books on this #:-)

Simply outstanding these figures. These guys are really part of what they call a "Knokploeg". Just as Eagle I`m not too sure about the german Mp40`s. This in such a way that I have never seen pictures or heard stories about this. I don`t say it`s not possible but I haven`t seen it. I know the French and the Dutch resistance both were equipped with the Sten Gun. It was a simple light weapon. easy to use, easy to clean, easy to transport and more important easy to hide.
On the other side it`s not completely strange that the dutch resistance was carrying German weaponry I think they used everything they could get their hands on
But enough of this nitpicking these are truely superb figures

Excellent figures but I think there are couple of things you could do...
1) The weapons, change them for stens and re-work the slings using lead-foil, even a civilian shotgun would be acceptable.
2) The armbands, remove them and replace them with lead foil
3) just a personal feeling, but the jackets could be extended 2-3mm, jackets of that period would be longer and even baggier
4) The trousers would be baggier as well with flaring or even turn-ups on them
As you mentioned, you wanted some suggestions... Looking very good at the moment but need a bit of work..JIm

Hi Engin,i presume when you say you have not finished the detailing, you will be sanding or filing down the weapon slings and armbands,i think maybe during the panic retreat of the German army through Holland a lot of weapons could have been aquired by the Resistance,a very nice idea you have come up with post more as you go.

Nice work!! i agree that the jacket on the right figure seems short in length for a uniformed
soldier,, but for a civilian in the resistance perhaps thats all he has to wear and must make do.. The figure on the left has a nice open pocket on his jacket.. any thoughts to a luger in it or maybe a rolled up piece of paper with op plans ( in code of course)..
Great job and keep updating,, im anxious to see the final product..

Thanks all for the very nice comments and more thanks for the excellent critics. You all are right and I will do the following changes.
1.MP40s will be replaced to Sten Mk.IIs and Jim's civilian shotgun is a great idea.
2.Gunslings and armbands will be replaced to lead foil ones.
3.Jackets will be extended a little more and trousers will be some lousy.
and just to remind y'all Master figure sculpter is VINCE, I am only a poor Converter

Engin,
Those changes you've got planned, will make these conversions even better.... This will result in something special..... you don't see that many Dutch Resistance Members in dioramas..... Looking forward to the next series of pictures.
