Hi Matt, based on the 'official' campaigns list, the rules and regs section states that "...There is a minimum of five figures, without a vehicle and four figures with one...". I have a package from Dragon of 4 US infantry troops with 105mm Howitzer M2A1 & Carriage M2A1 (DML Smart Kit 6499, precisely). Although such item was much clearly categorized as weapon (of course! ), is this can also considered as vehicle? If so, count me in please in this campaign. Many thanks

Best regards,

Garry

I'll allow it.

Thanks mate! I'll jump in

Best regards,

Garry

John, just to make sure to not break the rule, since I'm planning to make my own thread presented as a build log related to this campaign, how if the in-progress pics posted as a link to my independent thread, as I do on your 'Unfinished Business' campaign, is such treatment allowed? Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Thanks again John, I like a neat organization of my own thread and also to avoid confusing or double posting someday

Just called in to say high. Will post some pics of what I'm doing tonight or tomorrow. As per allowed in the rules I have a vehicle part built that was the starting point for this diorama none of the figures IIRC have been touched.

All up will include
Tiger tank (kit bash of Dragons initial and Academy's early Tiger with interior, AM tracks and some other stuff)
Tiger crew (reloading) plus maybe some extra maintenance staff.
and an officer with photographer.

I'm still in with my Zvezda Vemple Set. I took my starter pictures yesterday and will probably put them up this week. I'm still working on some details on what I'm going top do exactly. What-If Rome Never Fell Legionnaires, Sci-Fi Space Marines, or post-Apocalyptical Infantry.

Ricky: I've built two of those. Nice choice. My grandfather commanded battery of those, in the Pacific Theater.

Exterior wise it will mostly be the Dragon kit using the internals from the Academy kit. I stalled when it came time for the turret, I would prefer to use the Dragon turret as it has much finer details but will require much more work as the hatches are different. Still yet to decide which to use.

Andrew,
If memory serves those Academy figures are pretty large, closer to 1/32 scale. They'll look huge next to those Tamiya figures.

Wow, so high your interesting to this kind of gun. I hope so Matt, not too many problems in doing so. I believe that your grandpa has plenty of bloody fighting stories, regarding how very cruel and brutal the Japs defend the areas. My grandpa also serve in military, mainly communist rebellion national tragedy broke in Indonesia in 1965. But I never have get any story, regarding he served in supplies battalion. He passed away in 1990 when I still 4 years old, leaving several badges and awards from another national chaos and fighting between 1958-1966.

Kind regards

Thanks for the heads up Alex, I just compared them and yeah BIGGER. Well I mostly bought the pack for the equipment (there is enough guys in the Tamiya kits) so maybe I might include one "Ubermensch" I may not.

Howdy Y'all
I'll be building some Russian tank riders for this campaign. I figure I'll build 5 or 6 of these Tamiya 1/48 figures to go on a T-34/76. I'm building the T-34 for the Stalin's Armor campaign. I didn't remember to put today's Sunday paper into the photo. I hope this photo will still be acceptable.

Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Andrew: You are really going all out, on this one.

Ricky: My grandfather passed away, before I was born. I did get to read his letters, from the front. He also left behind several badges. Actually, he was one of the interpreters at the Nuremberg Trials.

How lucky you are Matt, since I have no letters or any written documentations related to his duty from my grandpa. Of course that would become a honor and proud that your grandpa was acting as an important man in such historical event. Was your grandpa involved just for a specific person's trial (e.g. only for the trial of Alfred Jodl or any other specific Nazi 'actor') or for the period of the Nuremberg Trials is held?

Cheers

There is less information, on this event in his life. I believe that he was involved during the period of the trials. He was assigned to Gen. Mark Clark.

Thanks, Ricky. I keep waiting for it to feel better and it keeps getting worse. I will forge ahead, despite my injury. I have a couple of other campaigns that are down to light work. Then, hopefully I can start my build for this one.
