Having mostly built a lot of '44 german armour, it has become obvious they need zimmerit, so i've taken the plunge and coated this italeri PzKpfw IVH with Milliput

Criticism wanted before I start patting myself on the back

I think that pat on the back is well deserved, sir.

Patience and a 3mm screwdriver. It may have helped that the milliput was 10 years old and wasn't inclined to stick to my fingers or the blade

Rich,
Looks real good. If you coat it in baby powder (after it's on the tank of course), it doesn't stick to fingers or tools.

@LikesTanks – Richard,

First I’d like to welcome you! Hope your stay will be lasting and wonderful.

I think you’ve done a first rate job on your first attempt at creating your own Zimmerit paste. Even without a coat of paint it already looks convincing and to scale. OK, you could step back a little and throw yourself against the wall for a well-deserved hardy pat on the back!

Thanks for the support guys, i'll get started on the zimm production line for all the shelf queens. Any advice on how to achieve the rough, stippled surface you see on Jagdpanther zimmerit?
