Hello guys, I just bought 1/35 HobbyBoss Land Rover defender, and want to convert it like in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a83mX3PRZPk

0.42 seconds. Is this a w.m.i.k, or just a cutted top no door version of a standart defender?

Any ideas appreciated.

I am no expert but it looks like a standard soft-top with half the canvas rolled back and the doors removed. It is not a WMIK.

I think it's a 110 softtop. The canvas is partially removed.

I would like to make this one too but I have not any pictures who shows the gun mount.

The only item I know for a soft top vehicle is this one but with a complete canvas.

You will have to adapt the rollcage, as the one with the soft top doesn't have the mount for the machine gun. Leave off the door parts for the WMIK and just leave it bare, as this was up dated too. You should be able to work the rest to suit. The soft top was know as a snatch lany, quick but little protection.

You Could butcher the sof top resin part or make your own from lead foil.

Altay
You will need a windscreen as WMIKs didn't have them, and the one in the video has a snorkel intake, which you could make with sprue.
