This is a work in process. Shown to show how small areas and some over lap still work with digital pattern decals. Take your time and do a little at each session.

Very cool. Now I read that one has to spray Future to get a smooth surface. Could one dip the figure in Future or spray Gloss Cote from a spray can? Could one just lay the decals on without a glossy smooth surface?
So the patchwork decal sections just seamlessly blend in without any interruption in pattern?

Hi Please see my reply to your note. I think the Cross Delta decals and the other brands that have been soaked down a long time to soften the decal show very little of any overlaps with a light dull coat overspray. The pattern needs to be studied as especially the "coffee stain" camo can require a bit of touch up with a brush to match photos of pockets and shoulder seams. Study the on line photos and visit your local Army Surplus store to see the actual patterns. Enjoy

I've tried Alliance deacals for ACU and the decals just refuse to stick on the figures... I've oerdered some from cross delta and will give them a chance...

Where did you buy your CrossDelta decals? Many of the stores I have checked listed them Out-of-stock. Thanks.

Well the cross delta decals are easy to use, but I have the ACU and the color looks totally wrong to me
(looks like some light green). Maybe it's just bad luck and a serie with an issue?
has anyone here tried these references?
@ Andreas : the one I have is ref 35-012. Are there the same you used on your pics? The illustration looks like it but surely not the decals...

Someone said to underpaint the figure before applying the ACU decals. I am not sure if that will make the "light green" appear desert tan. ACU colors change depending on the light. In bright sunlight, they appear desert tan and dark gray. Inside rooms or low light, they appear light green and light gray. I prefer the tan and dark gray.

After looking closer to the article pics and the one I own, it seems the ink wasn't dark enough when the decals were printed. Maybe I will try another one one of these days (they are not that expansive with the free shipping option).
