Hi all!

My favourite theme is WWII but my current project is a german Sturmpanzerwagen A7V of WWI. I have recently started it, the kit is Tauro Model 101.
There is a lot of molding problem, I need a little bit of Tamiya Putty.
Here is some pictures.

Antal,

What brand are those barrels? The Tauro kit is a dog, but I liked building mine! Heck, I'd like to build another!!

Hi Mike!

The PE machine gun is a Master Model product (AM32023) and it's 1:32 scale for WWI aircraft. Therefore, it was necessary a little "conversion". I cut the remaining styrene parts a few mm shorter.
Unfortunately this WWI machine gun does not exist in 1:35 scale. Or did I just have not found. But I think it looks better than the original styrene MG barrel.

Looking good, Antal. I built that kit a few years ago, and you'll need more than one can of Heineken to help you through!

But, it's a interesting subject!!

Mike, you're welcome!

Chris, I have a lots of Heineken.
Anyway, you're right! The manufacturer was unknown to me, and I never thought that the kit such a "problematic".

Hi!

Some weathering inside the A7V. And I made a seat for the gunner.

Hello,

Excellent work so far. If I may make one criticism. The machine gun barrel jackets on the A7V were not perforated.

Looking forward to seeing more progress on this kit. I have both the Tauro and Sparta A7Vs on my shelf awaiting me.

Hi, Rob!

Since then I'm thinking about the solution, but I don't really have any idea. Perhaps could be wrapped the MG barrel with aluminum foil, but that is too thin. Any other suggestion?
Meanwhile, I progress the build. Finished the track, the chassis and the inside weathered, and I made a small wooden crate.

Hi all!
After a long pause I continued the project. Here are the "new" MG barrels. The barrel jacket is 0.15mm thin brass plate.

Thanks Jeff!
I'm thinking that I will prepare the six machine gunner's seat also.
(In the beginning I planned that it just an out-of-box building will be.)

I fixed the roof plate which was a bit of inaccurate. After the filling I need to make even a few rivets.

I want to paint the figure of Tauro kit, and I have a question about it. The figure looks like the circled man on picture - without the face mask.
It would be leather dress? If yes, bright or half-bright? I can not decide. Tha Tauro instructions sheet says need to paint "black leather".
Unfortunately, this is the only good picture, what I have found.
Thanks for help.

Instead of figure painting I rather finished the camo. Next up the varnishing and applying decals.

Wotan is ready for weathering. And I have started the base too. The ground is sand - wallpaper glue mixture.

Some pictures of finished base. On the tree are Noch foliage and the bush leaves are made from marjoram. These are fixed with hairspray.

Antal
