This is looking great! I like the way that you used skewers to depict the holes torn through the walls by this beast. I look forward to seeing more progress on this build.

guess that's possible Bill, but beware the stuff wrapps like crazy when wet, might work if not too we, but I think you are going to get a mess, because the toplayer is a sort of glosspaper then a layer of more fibre cartboardstuff

when tearing it of be carefull to hold it flat , so you don't rip it appart, the 8 and 12 mm are not that much a problem, but the smaller size tends to break if not carefull

also pressure when ripping of may leave marks into the soft foam, and textures varie the way you rip it off... it's all a feelin game

also, use SHARP, I mean like surgical sharp knives to cut it ,if not you will get raffled edges (af course one can afterwards fill'm or sand them down )
but still more work...

also try findin a ruler with a straight back,preff0.5 to a cm high in order to cut somewhat straight into the cardboard/foam (if cardboard still attached, first go over the drawn line, with the scharp point, try to not cut thru, then after 1 or 2 passes, you'll be able to (using the ruler) cut easier thru the thickerpaper underneeth and foam, leaving the backpaper uncut (you can now tear it appart,or go another pass with the blade to cut thru the backside(flip it ove it's easier) beware of not adding... another angle to the side (been there done that )

I leave on side on (back ) so the hting has some strenght while manipulating, and you don't get the back all F'd up with small debris that gets stuck, or rips streaks and holes in the soft foam.
also to watch, when linin' up a wall for bricks (small ones)
it's MUCH easier to calculate an edge on all sides of 0.5 cm or more, to put the points of reff (I use a needle to make a small hole) . it's really, I mean REALLY depressing to notice you're of 2mm, after you've just done 10cm on 20cm bricks of 3mm high,6mm long, you count'm ,I just went aAAARAAAARGHH,you know, and that happens faster then you'll think, measure measure, and check constantly for errors.

but Life is hard ,so mistakes happen, the sooner you see'm the easier they are to fix, especially when building old or destroyed building like we do

need to know more, feel free to ask

This is certainly not quite what I was expecting to see, looking good as usual. Hope to see some more progress soon, this is an excellent use of space and very useful example for me.

This is coming along nicely for sure. Don't worry about the lack of responses too much,it is pretty common on this site. Just pay attention to the number of"hits" you get to see how it is going over.

A lovely build going on here. I for one do not build such elabourate constructions. Not enough room to house them when done. Though I do obtain some good ideas. Thanks for sharring.

ThaPit- First time viewer, and I like this!
Great idea/story and great craftsmanship as well.

That's one nasty match-up:
Cramped urban setting, concealed RPG runners vs a Shilke!!! You're really capturing the feel of it!

Awesome. Will be following along...

thanks all, almost gave up on the project( got that a lot )

have some doubts on how to finnish the road, can't seem to make up what I'm to put, pavement? asphalt?

I also am tryin' to make it work in the "lay out and dimensions" way, meaning, the shilka isn't that awesome, and I don't have any good rebels (need some runnin' away)nor do have I found a suitable AT milan kinda type pointing down from one of the buildings.

next weekend there is KMK (a meeting ) and I hope to find suitable thingies there.

wonder also if I need to destroy my buildings more to satisfy the viewer, or I can leave them like this, untouched, only by shilka, aka, not pierced by AT or T72 shells..?

greets Tha Pit
