John - Very fine work, but I'm curious about something. The photo you're working from shows some structural damage in the foreground. Since you don't have that, I take it you're building this to an earlier date?

well spotted. In the photo it is the eastern bridge support that the German engineers tried to blow. They did quite a bit of damage but not enough to make the bridge fall. My model is depicting the western bridge support which was obviously the closest one to the allied advance and therefore one that they had a bit more time to work on. I don't know if they actually removed explosives from the western pier or whether it was never wired up by the Germans. In my model I am trying to show the engineers taking no chances and thoroughly searching the western pier.
Thanks to everyone for looking in and more updates are coming soon as it nears completion.

So slowly adding the details. The pier has had some finishing and a ladder added to access it.
I have also started to place the vehicles to get a feel for the scene.
More details to come.

Great Work so far John. I've always been fascinated of the Remagen Bridge ever since I first saw the film as a teen. You've captured the bridge very well.
Cheers!

Every figure and vehicle you add only makes this dio look better!
Any chance for some welders working on that hole in the floor decking and a couple of mini LEDs making with the arc light???

Gentlemen Your postings and support make it a pleasure to post a WIP here. I very much appreciate all your generous comments.
I am not quite finished as I do have a number of engineer figures to paint and position, then a couple of other small details.
I would like to enter this in a show or two but unfortunately here in Quebec we have very few shows. Not like you guys in the UK with shows every week it seems.
