Hi all,
I've got a Trumpeter K18 10cm Kanone that I've built and am seeking to put it into an "in action" diorama. To this end I've purchased the Trumpeter action crew for the 15cm sFH 18, they come with loads of 15cm ammo, but of course no 10cm. Does anyone do any? I've looked under Trumpeter and various other manufacturers, e.g. AFV Club and Dragon etc but I can't find any. I suppose I could give in and use my howitzer, but I've assembled that in travel mode, and although it won't take long to modify it to in action, that would mean I have two similar guns in action, and no travelling (you can't assemble the Trumpeter guns in travelling mode, although the instructions lead you in that direction, as they don't provide the cradle clamps as Dragon do). I know the easy answer - buy another gun!!!
Incidentally the Trumpeter gun crew are highly recommended, their figures have been a bit iffy in the past, but with a little work these are good, and the poses are far more active than the "sort of standing about" poses used in the dragon crew. They also come with bags of ammo, basket work shell cases and ground mats.

Hi Steve,
I'm building the same gun right now and had the same doubt. Seems it is not available.
Maybe you can modify AFV leFH18 ammo, as it is the same caliber but longer case.
Here you have some nice shots of the boxes as well:

I agree with Carlos - use the LeFh 18 ammo. Although it was called a 100mm gun, I think you'll find it's calibre was 105mm. The reason for this apparently was to differentiate this weapon, which is a gun, from the LeFh 18, which is a howitzer.

You are correct about the difference. I wish I knew more about the ammo myself.
I did read that the 100mm kanone was not a popular gun with the arty guys. It was deemed as too focus driven in it's use and so not versatil enough. It had a flat trajectory and medium range as opposed to the howitzers.
If you can find the difference in the ammo you could modify one shell from the 105mm and then make castings?

Thanks guys, particularly John, those RB shells look excellent. However some lateral thinking has given me the thought that the easiest and cheapest way is to switch the guns around on the carriages. This would work as they were supposed to be "sister" weapons and the carriages are identical (both "18" series).
