I would have thought someone would be blogging one of these here by now.

Thanks Rick
I would have posted a build blog over here but when Darren Baker did the review on the kit there seem to be several that were all fired up about building one and I didn't won't to steal anybodies thunder here so I didn't.

I did post a few teaser pics in the review.

Oh well there will be another time
Thanks again

It's Friday

The crew has to hang their gear somewhere and those small hooks along the top edge of the casement walls works for me.

Have yourself a great weekend

Beautiful job so far Tony! I've got one of these on the way to me from Hong Kong right now. Such a graceful hull and running gear. Too bad they didn't have time to develop tanks on it. I love your 98K's. Perfectly finished!

Thanks Matt

You know I don't think those are rifles because the more I look at them they look more like 98 carbines.

Carbines would be more practical in a tank than rifles being shorter?????

Speaking of guns I need some technical advice:
The 88 is set back in the center of the chassis and not mounted against the frontal armor shield as in most SPGs i've built.
My question is should I leave the 88 solid green or add the camo to it?

If the platform is down you would have a camoed gun sitting in the middle of a solid green square?????

I ask the same question over on ML but I really didn't expect an answer and so far I haven't. One guy did say he would camo the shield and barrel if it were his.

Thanks again Matt happy that you like my efforts

Thank You AC

You know with eight guys and that big gun in there you would rely on support vehicles to carry even your tooth brush.

Cheers

Tony,

You should camo the shield and barrel since in travel mode it would match the rest of the vehicle and complete the exterior camo. When the shields are down, from the ground view, the observer can only see them edge on, so they really can't see the color. Ideally, the 88's air targets are 2 miles up, so the green/yellow on green would be sufficient. If they had time, the crew would cut branches and cover the shields and vehicle anyway.

Here's another up date.

Made the shoulder straps for the packs:

Camo applied to the 88 per Matt's recommendation.

Thanks Matt
Until next time

Very Nice Tony! I like the way you varied the coloring of the rifles and packs.

I'm working on the stand-alone Flak 41. No sooner did I complete the barrel/breech assembly, that I learn that RB just release a metal one!

Yeah R.E. I heard about the new RB barrel a few days ago too.
I figured Bronco would drop a Grille 10 flak 37 on me before I finished mine.

Varying the color always makes thing more interesting.

Thanks for the compliment
Hope you're enjoying the 41

"I figured Bronco would drop a Grille 10 flak 37 on me before I finished mine."

Wouldnt be surprised if they did. The Flak 41 kit issue I bought came with the crew and carriage from Dragon...I could see them issuing a kit using a Dragon 36/37.
