Hi Folks. Well mine is finally underway and here is some pics of the body before painting the interior. The color will either be semi gloss cream or white. I decided to do the interior at this stage so that I only have to touch it up once it is put togeather. The outside still requires some filling but I will complete that when the interior is finished.

Any comments welcome.

the whole kit and caboodle

the chassis extention

the right hand side

the Left hand side

coffee or tea anyone

some of the large amoumt of airholes that had to be filled. These went right through to the interior. I still have more filling to do on the exterior.

the cab and chassis it will sit on. Finished apart from some drybrushing/detailing and washes and gloss/matt coats and decals.

Comments are welcome. I intend on doing a small dio with this one A tamiya Jeep and about 8 to 10 figures will be added. I WILL require help with the figures a little later as I have not really done any before.

Brother Pouch

I believe most of us in chat have been waiting for some pics on this project--so thanks. Interesting how the resin worked out beautifully on the pots/pans/coffee pots ----- but the body parts are full of air holes (per your comments in chat).

The nose on shot of the cab, with the engine compartment exposed nicely shows your detail work on the engine ---and those tools!!!---very very nice.

So please educate a bummy yank here Cliff---what is the paint scheme for the interior of this vehicle straight OD, wood, or what???

Also what's the name of the Company providing the resin pieces, and, (since you are a resin after market business man yourself), how would you rate the overall quality of this resin kit.

Thanks Cliff, and please keep us posted.

Signed

Cliff,wow can you say filler?
Nice patching up work, can't wait for a coat of paint to cover the repairs.
I recommend replacing the ribs on the cabinet door fronts with appropriate wire.It will make it look so good inside.

interior color is cream or white. Cream is/was the dominate color in that era, but because of a lack of pics and information about this vehicle I am only going off what would have been more likely for the interior. It would have been gloss or semi gloss too.

the Kit is by Masters products in France. I would rate it at about 6 out of 10 with 10 being the best. As far as value for money is though I would rate it at 4. It is too expensive at $99USD compared to it's quality. As an unusual kit though I rate it as about 8.5/10.

Tank Carl I will look at changing the handles to wire but as mutch of that detail will be hidden I will have to weigh up the pro's and cons of doing it.

Roo, as always another superb display. I am curious about the extension for the frame, was that part of the conversion kit. Are you going to use figures? And is the truck done because you were waiting for the conversion, or was it pre-used?
