You have produced a beautifully painted model there. The tracks especially look good. As for the weathering whilst I would do a bit more maybe with pastels or a wash in the nooks and crannies, it is really down to your own personal taste, if you are happy with it then that is all that matters. Congratulations on a well built tank.

Everything looks fine, I like the nice subtle camo scheme. I agree with Brandydog, a bit of pastels might bring out hte details more. The only places that look like they could use more work are the drive sprockets (possibly the idlers). Either more wash, as you did with the road wheels, some pastels or a bit of the camo pattern brought down on them. AS it is, they look like these big yellow targets. Just a little something to tone them down.

Hi. Looks real nice. You've really done a wonderful job on that paint. Could use a tad bit more weathering, but I see your point about not wanting to over do that, as it can be easily done. And even though on a lot of models this added 'heavy weathering' looks nice, I really don't think its all that authentic in a lot of circumstances. Maybe some silver or aluminum on the track where it comes into contact with the ground surface. Either with paint or a silver pencil. I used a silver pencil on the contact areas of some R.R. track the other day and was real pleased in how it turned out. Very controlable.

Thumbs up on your models and your skills. Very nice indeed.

Take care, sgirty

Jeff:

A very good looking Panzer III. The suspension pics are well done---nice job on the wheels and track. Overall, very eye appealing.

As far as the weathering, "...I do not want to add more weathering"---then don't, its your model. Well done sir!

Hi Jeff
Outstanding Panzer III. I just finished the Dragon Panzer III Ausf. H. I used an old set of Tamiya tracks cause I hate indi-links. I am like you, I prefer a clean tank, so I haven't done any weathering at all. I also haven't decaled it because the Dragon decals seem too large to me. My tank is in Panzer Gray.
I like the camo on yours. Kind of makes me wish I had gone that way.

Congradulations on a excellent build.

Jeff,
A great build.Since you put it on a plaque like that, that's a good reason to keep it very clean.
Yes,put a light discoloration on the end of the gun.Can you reach in and paint the centerguide teeth a worn steel look?If the vehicle moved at all, those get polished quick.
But the thing I noticed, the tracks are on backwards. The main "bar" should face to the front, followed by the rest of the block. But,in the field, after a repair, there is a chance for a hurried crew to oopsie it once in a while...

Looked real good lord Jeff. Don't really have anything need to add, just a little black on the gun muzzle. and maybe add that antenna, that's all

Overall, real nice.

I think it is a great model. The only thing I think looks odd is the colour of the road wheels..... too grey for me and too uniform.
Apart from that, its one to be proud of :-)

Nice build , clean and neat work Congratulations buddy!!. If i had to add something this would be some pastels to blend the decals a lil more with the entire tank body cause they seem to my humble opinion too fresh painted . Thats all
Nice work again !!

Thanks to both Mother Goose and Robert
will give it some seroius thought on adding more weathering.
On the tracks as pointed out by Tank Carl I have reversed them I guess I should of used the Box art also instead of pictures as some were reversed. (++) (:-)
