Vince, if you don't want to wait for it to get to the states, try Hobbyeasy or Luckymodel out of Hong Kong. The price is good and the shipping is not as much as what I saw being quoted on e-bay.

Wow !,I`d love to have one of those - trouble is i`ll have to wait `til it gets here as the jolly old Customs And Excise LOVES to stick the boot in for import duties.
I bought a Gundam Tank from HLJ in Japan and ending up nearly as much in tax as the damned kit cost !.

This looks like an intense build but I cannot tell if it has an aluminum barrel or not?

Order from LuckyModels and select "Declare Low Value Invoice" option on checkout. The value declared will probably be around US $15. Problem solved

If I have a very expensive kit coming (and have tried to hide it from the ole ball N chain) I usually cause a distraction of some sort OR make sure no one is home when the evidence arrives!
But most of the time I do let her know of what I buy... err, ummm some of the time.

this could be a decalogue for a perfect modeler
"buy a D9 Meng and avoid divorce" :
1. hide the kit
2. deny all evidences
3. destroy your VISA statement
4. prepare a fake montlhy family balance sheet
5. keep black founds for last minute orders on the shows
6. get some witness ready to provide fake declarations

I let my wife know when I buy models and don't have to hide any of them. She buys a lot of crap for her hobbies too, so we are even.
Back on track, how different is this version from the US version? They look the same to my untrained eye.

Ditto that Gino, my wife just bought a couple pair of shoes last week that cost a good bit more than the 2 D9's winging their way towards our house right now. We both have our "hobbies" to support.

I'm certainly no expert, but taking a close look at the paint sheet the top D9 is a Marine "version". The only difference may be the MG mounted on top of the IDF version. That is, for this kit at least. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the A.M. guys crank out some slat armor for this beast. Anyone who knows better please let me know.

Hey Mike, you're lucky your wife's weakness is shoes - mine is jewelry. I swear she supports half of Ebay by herself. No issues with SWMBO when I need a 'fix' for my addiction though.
My D9R shipped yesterday from HobbyEasy. Should be here in a few days. Unfortunately I'll be halfway across the country all next week on business so I won't get to see it until the weekend. Bummer.

Great wife stories guys!
I personally don't see much difference other than that the IDF seem to have slat armor on many of theres and an MG mounted on top. I'm sure someone with better knowledge than myself could draw more insight into the differences though.

My wife has a horse which needs to be kept off premises so we have: Board, special oats, bedding material, vitamins & supplements, medicine (it has allergies), vet bills, shoes (every six weeks or so), riding related items like harnesses, riding apparel, etc. Rough estimate: $400 US a month, each and every month whether she rides the thing or not. And my wife hasn't worked in almost five years! Talk about being eatin' out of house and home! Sorry if this is off topic.

That is frightening, those Gundam Hard Graph tanks are quite pricey to begin with
I'm really liking what I see for the tracks on this beast, can't wait to see more details!
