Does anybody know if Wittmann's Sd Kfz 232 was a 6 or 8 Rad? Thanks in advance!

I believe it was a 6-Wheeler because he received training for a Sd.Kfz. 222 first in late 1937 and then the 232.

And the 8 Rad didn't come out until later? That was my thought but I wasn't sure as I haven't been able to find any difinitive info on it.

Not much proof there Kerry. The 8 wheelers came out in 1938, well in line with the time frame you're talking about.

Ya it's the last sentence in that paragraph that gives me doubt since it was 1939 in the Polish Campaign. The 8-rad was available by then. So did they go to the 8-rad?

Well if you are looking for the time period of the Polish Campaign it should have been 8 Rad for the Lssah Aufklärungs-Abteilung .
