Nice job with realistic weathering and ground base.
Would you tell a little more about the grass? Looks very realistic for a low price!

Very nice painting and weathering Antal. The simple base really finishes it off perfectly!

Welcome Antal, great job I like the tank integrated into the base. The grass looks great, with what it did?

Finally, the beast was stand alone in a topic!

Outstanding composition, especially the crew figure in the tank

Cheers

Thanks very much!
About the grass: the method is very simple. Cut to different size the hemp, it can be dispersed or clumped together on the base. I use wooden glue-water mix, it dries to transparent.
After gluing I paint with airbrush with several green (and yellow) colors. Here and there I leave the original color of hemp.
One more thing: under the grass is a thin layer of sand-wallpaper glue mix.
Garry: As I promised earlier...

Nice model Antal! Keep up the good work.
One suggestion however. The Panther was a NEW weapons system in the summer of '43. It would have been just weeks out of the factory paintshop by the time of the Kursk battles. Your rust, wear and chipping on the tank make it seem like it's been out in the field for several years. Hope this helps

Thanks again to everyone.
Roy: Thanks for suggestion. I know the historical background, that the Panther was a new weapon in time of Kursk. Maybe I exaggerate the effects, but too much love the worn-out AFV's.
In the future I will take care of weathering.

Welcome Antal, That's a beautiful job you've completed. Well balanced in color, composition, and subject.
One thing more- I have that old Italeri kit as well, and have read about all the imperfections w/ hull dimensions and road wheels and this and that, etc etc. I concluded that one day I'll just use it as a sort of practice build to sharpen my AB skills until I am comfortable w/ some of the higher end kits available ($$$).
One of the great things, for me anyways, with this site is knowing I will be enlightened in one way or another as to kit contents and potential red flags, build techniques, and naturally new things in the hobby. And meeting great people on the way too!
Thanks to this build, so nicely rendered, I feel very different indeed w/ my ItaPanther D.
Sorry -
Thanks Antal
Cheers Dave

Hi, All! Antal, WELCOME! VERY NICE!!! If I may make another suggestion? A very light overspray of FLAT CLEAR mixed with just a few drops of DUST COLOR may help to tone your weathering down a little bit if you are not satisfied? Don't use TAMIYA FLAT CLEAR, as it will turn a whitish color like frost once it dries...
But, of course this is your decision, and my suggestion is not to criticize your very nice work!

I especially like your GREEN Camouflage patterns on the DARK YELLOW surfaces!!!

Thanks for comments.
Dennis: I'm not entering contests, and I'm satisfied with final result. But very thanks for suggestion.
(Otherwise, I always use Tamiya X-22 varnish with X-21 flat base, and I had no problems.)

Hello, Antal!

I don't build for contests either!

I used to build for custom orders about 20 years ago- Now, I build strictly for my own pleasure.

In last few weeks I worked on this project. Recently I'm very, very slow!
This would be the concept.

Meanwhile, some progress in this figure.
