Looks great, with the exception of the fuel drums. Is this the mod 62 or 72? This being asked, how was the build up? I've heard bad things about the 72's alignment.

son a beotch, they are on backwards! I'll have to fix that. It is the older Tamiya kit, and it did build up nice, it's just a T62A

Hi

Unless Tamiya boxed a T72 in a T62 box? here is the box and the factory wrapped kit from Tamiya

It is the 1972 version of the T-62, not a T-72, the comment adressed. The russian tanks usually are named after the year of production (e.g. T-62, T-72,T-80) and some times any major upgrades during the service life is listed as version, e.g. T-62, model 1972.

Hopes this info helps.

No problem, I am glad to help out. Live and learn, right??.......

Try to look at Trumpeters T-62 versions for a better understanding of the different models and if inspired for the next build, buy one of their T-62, they are very nice.

thanks, I did f-up a lot of things though, the first is the fuel drums, I didn't pay attention to what I was doing and glued those on upside down, I have since fixed that, also even though I shot it with the per recommended Tamiya color, I should have lighted it up a touch, it looks too new, the green color is too dark, like it just rolled off the assembly line. Even though I did panel lines and wash.

Can't wait to see yours when it's done!
