Good afternoon gentlemen,
I have a Tamiya 1/35 7.5cm PaK 40/L46 anti-tank gun that I would like to use in my new dio. My question is what was the most typical type of vehicle that was used by the German army to tow this gun? I know there were all kinds, but im looking for the most commonly used after the D-day invasion.
Thank you in advance,
-Chris

Chris,
Standard towing vehicle for the Pak40 was the Sdkfz11, 3 ton half track, or the Sdkfz 251 series. However since the gun weighs around 1.5 tons, I've seen pictures of it being towed by a Steyr 1500. Other option would be an Opel Blitz or WHY.

ICM's Soviet Divisional Artillery Horse Transport 1943-1945 would also be interesting. (the "german version" might be the same difference)
Horses
or a captured American WC-51, or GMC CCKW Truck or Tamiya's old Quad Gun Tractor
I have been reading Osprey's "Falasise 1944" and it mentions that many german divisions in Normandy were static.
Very few organic trucks, so this might be more prototypical and unique.
Have fun with whatever you choose.
