Hi to everybody.

After 12 years of stop (maybe more), I'm returning to the hobby. I used to make small WWII 1:35 kits alternating with Warhammer figures. Now, as my first "victim", I've chosen a Tamiya Willys wich I'm lightly detailing using the Eduard PE.

In general, it's being easy but I'm starting to think I need to visit my ophthalmologist. After working for a while with the smallest PE part I start to see blurry.

Anyway, here is my progress so far:

Detailing the suspension:

Detailing the front bumper:

I've progressed a little bit further but I don't have pictures yet. Regards and thanks in advance for your opinion.

Like the front bumper, built this as cargo for my LVT4 it's a neat wee kit and goes together well, I sympathise about the eyes I am just giving mine a rest at the moment.

Looks like a solid build. I highly recommend a magnifying visor a pair of reading glasses. I'm near sighted, but even I have trouble with some of the parts smaller than a grain of rice.

Thanks for your messages. Definitely I'm going to buy a pair of magnifying glasses.

This weekend I can't progress but here is a quick picture of the current state of the model.

- Fastening rivets(?) (don't know the real name in english) added to the seats
- Pedals from PE
- Fire extinguisher redone from scratch and PE (of course it's in that place just for showing)
- Extra details in the fastening system of the fuel tank
- Wheel axis mounting to the dashboard redone
- Extra details in the engine (just for practising because it won't be visible)

Welcome back,
my personal hiatus ended in 2008 when - after some exams were finished - I built Revells Fokker DrI my farsighted brother gave to me as a X-mas present the year before.
Nice model you chose. Nice details you added. Nice progress too.
Happy Modelling

Michael

Thanks, michael kohl. I always loved aircraft models and I made some of them when I was a child. They took me an afternoon to build and 10 minutes to start falling apart . But I've never had the courage to build one during my "serious" model making years. They always scare me because the canopy, the large and clean surfaces, the small details... I prefer something where I can hide my mistakes under a mud splat or a painting chip. But now I want to build one, maybe after the willys...

Here is another picture of the progress of my willys.

I've added the left side tools. I improved some details like the straps using masking tape and the axe handle holder with a bit of wire. Other details come from the Eduard PE.
