Hey Guys!

I haven't posted in a while, but thought I would post some pics of my "nearly ready for paint" M4A3 Sherman Calliope.

The kit is Italeri, supplemented with parts from the Verlinden Calliope kit, Eduard and Aber brass, Legend sandbags, AFV Club tracks, Archer casting marks, Formations tools and scratchbuilt rear storage box and blast deflector.

Comments, questions and critiques welcome!

Thanks!

Terry

Hi Terry,
A great looking update to such an old "girl" love all the detail & extra work & am positive that under paint she will look like a brand new broad for sure!!
Get to see what can be done with older kits, reminds of when Shep paine's & Verlindens inspiring stuff as a teenager in the early eighties
Cheers Mike

Most impressive work, Terry! I think I'd go nuts doing all those additions to the launcher. Keep the updates coming!

Cheers!

Terry,

what an awesome build! Your attention to detail on this Sherman is really nice.

Love the detail work on the rocket launchers. Looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers,
Dave.

Terry,

Do you have the wiring diagram for the launcher "fuze?" I pretty much have what you've built here...in a big box awaiting proper motivation. Already bookmarked this.

This is my inspiration:

Terry wow you`re doing an awesome job on this one.. One thing to watch and I can`t tell from the pictures ..Be sure the driver can see thru the periscopes to drive..if the sandbags block the view you ain`t going nowhere fast..lol. The other thing is the Legend sandbags look too neat for me but nothing you can do about that except add a few Miliput bags on top ..
Great work on the Calliope and the wiring is excellent .. This going to be a reference for anyone wanting a Calliope in their collection.. You got me feeling like doing a Sherman next...(at least for now.)

Awesome job on the paintwork,I remember seeing this when first posted and thought then "Good news, somebody's gone to all that trouble updating an old kit now we'll see a brand new tooling" but alas,3 years on,we're still waiting........Tasca/Asuka I'm looking at you in a disapproving manner.......
