So how much hair pulling was involved in those antennae and their tie back cords?Seems one could have made the antennae from lengths of steel guitar string (which come in .007", .008", .009" diameters) in order to give them a real "spring" to hold tension straight on the tie cords? Just a thought!

What you see is I believe the 4th time placing those antennas. Knocked off for various reasons. The problem is in the spring part of the antenna near the base, to get the proper angle was bad enough but it also took off all the upward tension in the wires. What I needed to do was to use smaller tie down string.
