I am having a difficult time finding photo references for the town of Carentan. I am not looking to reproduce anything specific, but would like to have reference as to the typical style/s of architecture as I know France has very regional architectural styles. If you all could direct me I would be most appreciative.

It may be hard to find 'period' photos that are specific to that town.
My suggestion would be to 'google' the town and see what you find.

I think you should be able to look at almost any town in French Normandy to gain a perspective of architecture. Since you are not trying to build a "specific" building, you should be able to gather a feel for the flavor of the building style by looking at pictures of St. Lo, Caen, Cherborg, etc.
