Hi all,
Does anyone know if the tankworkshop set 0034B (wading trunks) can be adapted for a Tamiya M4A3? I know the set was made for a Dragon M4A2...thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know for certain, but I suspect it will be difficult, of not impossible. The cooling air inlets and the exhaust outlets were differently shaped and in different locations on the two tanks. If the trunks followed the vehicle shapes closely, they would not be interchangeable.

Could be wrong, though.

Italeri 6389 US Marines M4 Sherman kit includes wading stacks for an M4A3. The kit is mis-labelled and includes an M4A3, not an M4. Thus you can even save your Tamiya kit for another project. At the minimum, you can use modify these or use them as patterns to make your own -- likely easier than modifying the resin TWS wading stacks.

Here's some discussion of it:

Thanks for your replies gentlemen....I thought as much but wasn't sure. I didn't know about the Italeri kit Roy...may have to try to get that. This is for a friend of mine who wants to build an M4A3 from Iwo Jima.

Italeri's kit is made to build an M4A3 from Iwo, it includes stuff like wooden side "armor" as well as the wading stacks and water tank, etc.

Jowady-
Thanks for your reply. My friend has the kit and it's exactly what he was looking for.
