Beautiful work Guido, a real inspiration.

One day maybe I will be brave enough to start mine, but for now I will enjoy watching others build this model.

Super job!

Whoa---!! Masterful building, scratchbuilding, painting and weathering, Guido!!! Be careful as it looks like it is ready to drive off of your workbench! Genius on the pistons, by the way!

Were those the Voyager slat and PE sets that you used (in conjunction with many of your own additions, of course)? I think we now have Voyager, Eduard and ET all supplying PE sets for this kit and I was curious which you used and how you thought they went together, especially the slat armor...

Wow! Cannot wait to see this on a diorama base!

Thank you for taking the time to photograph and share!

Keep up the amazin' work, Guido!

With Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Thank you so much Johnny....your words make me happy. Yes, the pe set is that one from Voyager....so many parts inside.....and I think I used almost all of them. Not an easy assembling....they need all the attention you can get: so many dry fittings before glueing on the model. Don't know if and what kind of dio at the moment.....I'll try to decide later....THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

Think this is my last detailing work on it: scratched brass cover for hydraulic blade tubes and a reworked slat...the last on the L side.

Guido, you are a real master! I wish you would write an article on your weathering techniques... absolutely stunning.

Ohh.....thank you so much Mario....hope one day to be able....I'd be so happy.....time is never enough but I'll try to do. A little update.....ALL slats have been fixed....one of them will be folded down.....so this is the final look of my D9R. Thank you all for watching.

That's just lovely. The last cylinder assembly pictured looks like a page out of the Caterpillar catalogue.

Thank you so much Russel.
Time to work on the wheels' subassemblies: small surgery.....not only for better rendering that polish metal look, but above all for adjusting the tracks' sag. One is completed.

Even if much of that will be later covered, this is the rust base I created on lower parts with the salt technique....comments are welcome.

Hi Guido,

really an impressive work you delivered to us. Please allow me two questions:
what kind of PE-set did you use ?

And something about your movable pistons for the tensioning system:
What material did you use for the inner tube ?

With best regards
Rafael

What color did you used to paint it all?

Thank you all my friends.

@) PE are from Voyager set N. 35604 and tubes come from an old radio antenna's sections.

@) I usually use enamel Humbrol 84 for IDF color.

@) Everything is going to be finished...stay tuned.

Cheers.
