Hi
i am going through the reports on paintings before istart my 1 72 armoured train.
i think i have sorted out various stages of applying varnish paints etc but i cant find out what thinners is used with oil paints for the washes.

FWIW, I use ordinary mineral spirits from the hardware store, although I have used various brands of artist refined turpentine in the past.

go to an art supply shop and get yourself a little bottle of odourless spirt - any artshop will sell it. It is a lot more gentle than a straight turpentine a has very little smell. well if you lived here in the us you could go to wal-mart and get a big bottle of odorless spirits for pretty cheap but i don't know where you would get it where you live lol
