Rob-- fine work and I thank you for your response
DJ

No problem at all. Coming to think of it, I may post a step-by-step guide on this when I build my second unit.

Rob

Rob-- I highly encourage you to provide us the procedures. This will save me a ton of money
thanks again

I built this in a weekend:

Nothing to it. Wood, some nails, and that's it. I was going to paint it but I seem to like the natural wood color. I'm building another one (bigger one) in a couple of weeks (to put all those extra stuff you see on top).

Rob

Hey Rob...That is very nice, and I have the exact same air compressor as yours.. California Air Tools... Mine does a fantastic job !!.. not expensive and very quite too, with plenty of power.

Thanks Greg

Hey Greg

Have you seen this site (link below) and guy's stuff for hobby paints and glues? Maybe this may help?

These carrousels are the cat's meow. I highly recommend them as a storage option.

Thank you all for the great ideas, and the links to "pre-made" paint racks by mfgs. I really appreciate the help, and these ideas are exactly what I wanted to see. I always get a kick out of seeing how other modelers arrange, and keep their inventories and tools from completely taking over the house.

Many, many, many thanks to all.

I found somebody selling acrylic nail polish racks-- they're wall-mountable and pretty attractive.

They make larger ones, but that one happens to fit nicely into the space I have. It won't hold the larger Tamiya bottles, but everything else fits pretty nicely.

Yep, I really like the compressor as well. Bought it just a few months back when my older one died. I love how easy it is to drain with the valve that you just have to turn to open. I had to arrange some piping with mine though as some metal fittings were touching the tank/handle making the unit pretty loud when operating.

some great ideas - wish I was a little handier with wood (but I know a man who is......),... also like the pre-made stuff - would need to be wall-mounted for me but my Vallejo collection is growing exponentially so really does need a better storage than where they are now!

You can build one with your eyes close, Gary. It is THAT easy to make!

Still thinking about doing a step-by-step. Haven't yet purchased the materials for my second one but will do so maybe this weekend. We'll see if I can convince the wife to let me do it
