Thanks for the link Jay... it actually gave me some ideas. I really dont want to turn this into a gun truck cause i really like the hatch/ V back humvee (whatever body style it is) so i figured something out.... Cut open the rear door and make it look as if it was slid back, store that battery and ammo box and then from the truck run the wires and ammo feed to the turret

I can honestly say I've never seen a minigun on a HMMWV before. Very cool.

i gotta admit.. trying to bend the ammo belts from the magazine to the gun is really taking the fun out of everything! Other than that i think this is coming along pretty good! But as always feed back is always welcomed

just a question about the mk-19 in the back, would hummers carry a mk19 in there if armed with something else? seems a waste of space

Why don't you drop the rear seat out from behind the driver. Put your spare ammo boxes there along with the one with the feed mech behind the driver. If you try and route it from the back I think you would be asking for feed problems and when you emptied your first box how would you reload the gun. When you need to reload you are under fire and you won't want to get out to pop the hatch and switch ammo cans. Just a thought because your chute feed looked very awkward and maybe uncomfortable to the gunner.

This small but dragging is finally coming to an end! I did take some advise from a few people and also found other references and i relocated a few things.. here are the updates
I moved the ammo box from the trunk to behind the gunner... something about having to get out of the humvee to open the trunk to reload did seem like a bad idea... and it didn't quite fit in where the rear passenger seat was. I also figured the back would be the best and safest place for the battery

Some US Army MTOE's (Modified Table of Organization and Equipment) authorizes a section multiple crew-served weapons. When M1025 Armament Carriers were designed, the primary focus was MP's and Scouts in the Infantry Companies. MP M1025 Armament Carriers initially had an M2 .50 cal, a MK. 19 GMG and an M60 MG. So, the Army specified storage brackets in the cargo area of the initial production M1025's to hold the additional weapons.
So, what is represented in his model isn't necessarily far-fetched.
Nice work by the way. I like what you have done so far.

I finished the humvee about a month ago, took the pictures and completely forgot to upload them. Anyways i used aber hinges for the doors and drilled little holes in each of the trunk arms and ran guitar wire as a pin so the arms could be down or can prop the trunk door open.. Anyways i hope you like it
