Hi guys-
This is where i'm at with my PzKpfw IV H now. I got the camo on and the markings for 9th SS Hohenstauffen applied. I still need to add the tracks and skirts and weather it up a ton. This is going to go in my Remember Market Garden dio, so I won't add the final weathering until I get the base done, that way I can "blend" the colors together with the groundwork. I also still need to finish the detail painting, tools and such - they are just "roughed" out now.... but anyway - here goes............
Pre-Paint:
After paint and markings: (I also fixed the grab handles above the turret side hatches, lowered 'em a bit based on thebear's comments on my previous posting - thanks bear :-) )
Comments and suggestions are always welcome - I want to know what you guys think.... hehe, good and bad.
Thanks-
Nelson :-)

When you get a free moment I would like for you to paint a few for me also. I like the pattern and the paint came out beautifully. Looking forward to seeing more of this little jewel.

Lord Nelson aka "Da PE god"
As I told you in chat, (probably a little too descriptively - ) this one is a winner and the whole build has been keenly followed by a number of us here at Armorama and in "Da Chat Room".
Impressive how you got the markings to snuggle in on the zim---transfers I believe you mentioned---very well done.
This whole build is solid, from the basic kit, through the zim and pe applications---
W-onderful detailing job
O-utstanding paint job (the zim really pops in these pics)
W-inner all the way!
Congrats!
Steve

Wow, that's very well done. I looked and looked again and it's wonderfully done.
So - what's to critique - it's perfect. All the zim is still in tact, the fenders aren't bent.
Weren't the SS units in Arnehm being refitted and the quickly put in service? I would personally like to have a bit of damage done.
Don't get me wrong - its a joy to look at and you have demonstrated an incredible skill in PE and painting.

Looks Awsome JR!!! Did WWH say those markings were transfers? How did you get them to snuggle the Zim like that? I thought they were hand painted.. Excellent work, no matter how you did it!

Thanks for the comments guys :-)
Slodder- hehe, I know what you mean about the damage. 9th and 10th SS were basically cobbled together from the remnants of the Falaise debacle - so their equipment looked pretty ratty. I just couldn't bring myself to do it yet.... lol I'm gonna see how the scene looks with the figures and the motorcyle etc... and then I might damage a few things... I have a plan for the skirts that will hopefully lend and aura of scavenging to the tank... stay tuned :-)
TUNA - the markings are Archer transfers - very easy to do. I just rub them on in the location I want - then use a blunt toothpick to rub them into the cracks - keeping the backing paper over the transfer. That way i don't damage it with the toothpick.
Nelson :-)

Jeff - I hear ya' and I understand! It can be hard to 'ruin' such a great job. You really did nail it. Don't destroy it for me (or anyone else). If you like it - keep it - or do another one later and replace this one.
Can't wait to see your skill put to figures and a motorcycle.

Nice work. Excellent paint job, and it really shows off your Zimmerit well. Dry transfers really took well to the Zimmerit. I see markings for 9th SS Pz Div Hohenstaufen, is this Pz IV Ausf H in the Arnhem/Market Garden area ?
Will look real good once you get the tracks on it. Keep up the good work. Be sure to send us some more pics of your finished kit !
Cheers !
