Thanks guys, it's been a year of paying attention to you guys and a fair amount of trial and error. I've found that the easiest way to make something I do not suck is to not look at something sub-par and say "that'll do."

Of course there's plenty of helpful and inspirational builds going on here as well

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's a good moral boost. Nick I think one of the best things that helped me when making figures was looking through Jerry's build logs and getting all the feedback on the site. From what it looks like, it sure helped me out over the past year!
