Dear friends,
I will not be as active as I was before on the site. I have injured my back. It hurts typing this. Hopefully in a week or 2 I will be good to go.
Stupid ice every where here in Ont Canada as the snow melts, freezes etc...brutal. I fell twice, cracked my head the first time, messed up my knee, now my back is gone this time.
In the mean time, you can see what I have done so far in 12 mths.
Best regards in Modelling
David

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. From experience, I know just how painful a back injury can be. I hope you have a full and speedy recovery. Being Canadian, you might want to consider wearing hockey pads the next time you venture out 'onto the ice', Eh. Al

Hi David,

bad luck, this. Get well soon.
Here in Germany we have winter temperatures reaching almost 15 °C.
So statistically speaking, we both have a perfect winter .

Maybe watching something canadian taking shape helps to kill the time: http://armorama.com/forums/216323

Cheers

Michael

PS: are you canadians measure real temperatures - meaning Celsius - or do you mess with this Fahrenheit-stuff too?

My back is feeling a little better, still painful if I move the wrong way.
Good news is that I have picked up where I have left off.
Working on weathering my Tamiya German 8 Ton Half Track SdKfz 7/1 .
Going out on Friday to pick up another Dragon product [s] , not sure what though.
Last week, under painful conditions, I managed to waddle to Dundas Valley Hobby & buy a Cyber Hobby Stug III G, Late 44 kit.
I have the following kits to finish assembling.
Dragon Tiger I , Dragon Jagdtiger , Academy M-10/Achilles , Academy Tiger I w/interior , Dragon Jagdpanzer L70[A] , Dragon Marder III ..lol

Mend well David... I know what you're going through.

In 2005 I blew out my left shoulder because of ice. The rehab was a big pain but worth it as I did it on my own.

Be well.

Where I live in Quebec we have enjoyed over a month of -30 to - 50 C. Temps, Lots of Ice and snow and we don't use salt up here since it would have to come in by ship. Sorry about your back you could get some Ice grips for your boots. I fell in August and it still gives me issues along with everything else that is wrong with me. But thats life in the far North.

I wish you a speedy and full recovery. Instead of purchasing ice grips, you can drive short, round head screws into your boots. When I lived in Arkansas, I found this to be an excellent solution to stability on ice.

Sorry to hear of your accident David. Hope you're feeling better. I'm just down the road from you in Pennsylvania. It was -24% F yesterday morning on my way home from work.Ice is everywhere here too. It hasn't snowed in 3 days and the roads still aren't clear because of the wind and drifting snow.
I'm impressed by the amount of modeling you are able to do. Very nice work.
Take care and get better.
