Not many, but a few requests for Australian International trucks. I'd like any of them, in 1/72 or 1/76!

Ah yes, good to see someone else wants a Transphibian Tactical Tree Crusher. Even the name is cool, never mind seeing what the hardware looks like. Somehow, I think we'll be waiting a long time for a kit though. I've struggled to find enough information to finish a drawing that a mate started years ago and I doubt that either of the ones sent to SVN still exists.

Quoted TextAn M48 with the mantle would be awesome (stupid DML).
I'm not trying to single you out Christopher , several people here and on other forums have made the same sort of comment.
Y'know, we'd all like a mantlet cover for the M48, but these things are a real b!tch to mould well in rigid plastic.
The Centurion mantlet cover was made in a softer vinyl and people moaned "too hard to clean up, paint doesn't stick, doesn't fit around the edges, doesn't take glue well", etc., etc.
Some shapes just are not condusive to moulding for the amount of money we are willing to spend on a kit. Perfecting a multipiece collapsable mantlet cover tool for an M48 kit at the cost of an additional 50-100K of tooling just isn't worth it to do the job right on the one little part.
I'd far prefer to add my own mantlet cover for 30 cents worth of epoxy putty and some quality modelling time or to spend $5 for a resin AM part if I didn't want to do it myself.
There's also the inevitability that for everone who really, really wants a mantlet cover, there's another guy who wants to be able to freely position the gun elevation for some project.
Sometimes we need to step back a bit, take a look at the entire package and see whether or not we are truely unhappy about the lack of a mantlet cover on a model that is leaps and bounds better than the previous offerings. Personally, I'm OK without the cover.
Paul
May be include a resin part for a buck more rather than a complex mold. I am sure an after market company would be happy to supply a couple thousand to Dragon.

1:35 M54 5-ton truck (quad .50 gun truck)
1:35 HAWK Missile Battery (have refs!)
1:35 NVA type 74 twin 37mm AA gun (or a Type 63 conversion for the T34 tank, again, I have the vehicle for references!)

Heya, Bob!
Do you mean vehicle accessories or figure accessories or both?
For starters:
- field expedient mini-gun mount for an M113 (both crew compartment and TC's cupola mount).
- trailers: both the ammo trailer you see occasionally towed behind the M42 Duster and M113 and the "water buffalo" trailer
- M132 flamethrower conversion, including interior hardware and plumbing.
- XM45E1 armor and liquid storage tank package for M548-based flame thrower refueler track.
- M113 30' marginal terrain bridge-layer conversion.
- 40mm Bofors ammo cans (at least I think that's what they are) that we often see on M48's and Riverine Monitors
- cylindrical cardboard artillery round containers, often seen in construction of firebase sandbag revetments (and of course around artillery pieces!)
- M66 LAWS rockets (sets of more than two!)
- Field radios
- infantry steel pot, armor crewman, helicopter crew helmets, soft boonie hats/"jones" hats, rear-echelon baseball caps, Marine soft covers; jungle boots.
- cans of oil/lubricants for tanks, APCs, Riverine craft
- claymores, M16 ammo, M79 ammo, starlite scopes
- rucksacks, all types, claymore bags, mail bags
- man portable flame thrower, people sniffer
Of course, there's probably much much more I'm sure I'm missing!
Thanks, Bob --- have a good one!
With Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.

First of all - standard M-113 with quality and accuracy of "XXI century level" of models!
I compeletely agree.!
A new tool, state of the art M113 (and variants) with a proper, accurate and detailed interior. Absolut top of my wishlist.
Academy's is ok, but the interior is very basic and there are knock out marks in the most annoying places.
Its beyond me that nobody has done a new M113 yet, considering the high degree of use this vehicle has seen throughout the world for decades. Sales should go through the roof with a new release (I would have thought).
Cheers,
Sven

I should of course add that my comment above is directed towards the wish for a new release in plastic. There are some very nice resin M113 updates and conversions out there, so I say respect and well done to those manufacturers for the hard work they have put into them!

That's about what I mean, not complex conversions as time for them is hard to come by nowadays and just not in the picture anymore. Simple stuff for both Armor, Softskins and figures.

On a side note, the M116 Husky announced by Hobby Fan (=resin) some time ago should be available very soon :

That's all I can think of right now....
* The basic M54 truck is what's needed. Never saw a gun truck, but once that wasn't built in the field. Every arty unit, armor unit, and CAV unit had more of them than M35's.
* The M37 truck actually was more common than the M151 Jeep once you got four or five miles out from the big fire bases in the rear. Plus just about every unit had several of them. Once again the basic M37 is what's needed here, and let the average modeler build off it.
* Somebody needs to do a Sheridan the right way! We've seen all sorts of dismal attempts in the past from whatever Tamiya thought they were producing to the newer Academy kits. But none are right!
* I'd like to see somebody like AFV get off their hind end and tool up the M110 / M107 / M578 series. Being an I-Corp Rat, I can tell you the M107 / M110 were used everywhere there was a flat piece of ground with a road leading to it. I'd be good for a half dozen of these kits myself.
