not being mean but italy is not part of the commonwealth. The vehicles need to be marked as british or commonwealth ones

too bad the big boys don't see the interest generated here or maybe they would'nt be cranking out German armour by the dozen.

I think it should just be British or Commonwealth as we just don't get much of that. Just my opinion.

Personally, I have no objection to seeing a Commonwealth vehicle in someone else's markings, i.e. a Firefly in German markings.
I think that would be preferable to having a non-Commonwealth vehicle in UK markings, i.e. a West German Fuchs or MLRS in British Gulf War markings.
But I can see the points where both could be allowed or both could be disqualified.

It is okay to model an Australian or New Zealand subject - right?
I just wanted to be sure...

Probably it's better to keep it as British/Commonwealth at least nationality of units. Where does that leave my Canadian Panther? #:-) I'm serious....Jim

I've already been accused of killing the Queens English.
Bob
As long you're not accused of killing the English Queens...
If this starts in the spring, I'm in. Before then, I'm out (due to over-extended build queue for other builds / campaigns)

is a Czech Cromwell ok? I was thinking the 1st Czech brigade in in NW Europe.
When do we plan to start it? I'm free to start whenever.

my two cents worth is no sorry. Britain and the commonwealth such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa to name a few.
the Czech's fough with the british in Europe but were not british or members of the Commonweath.
As I said just my two cents worth on this one

I have a few at home that I would love an excuse to do ...Revell´s Bedford QL Portee and 6 pdr, Tamiya´s Quad and 25pdr, Crocodile or even the Matilda 2.
I´ll go for the bedford and 6 pdr as nobody has mentioned that yet! Wont be able to start until next year though.

I hate too many rules but I'd like to see if kept to just British/Commonwealth vehicles, not even non British ones wearing Brit makings. I'm not sure where that puts the Firefly since it was mainly American but with a British gun. We see so many German and American items here it would be nice to see just a lot of Crusaders, Matildas, Bren Carriers, etc, etc, etc.

If you want a very special topic think about a Cent or Scorpion garrisoned in Hong Kong, in 60's- 70's. Back then we were still a member of the Commonwealth. I would love to do one, but I don't have the information. I think that would be cute making a dio of a paddy field, with some buffalo and local farmers next to the AFV.

thanks for that link ant,
i think the best thing would be if everyone posts their ideas of what they are going to build,
that way we can come to some conclusion if we are going to allow it or not,
and i think it should be a majority decision,
ive got Accurate Armours staghound on the go at the moment, and ive also got a resicast QLT truck and ram kangeroo, italeri dukw, tamiya bren carriers, churchill, centaur, DML bishop, Maquette valentine mk x111 and a few more i could use
i think halfyanks point is interesting, given the amount of US built vehicles in service with british/commonwealth forces during the war and immediately afterwards, banning them from the build might limit the possibilities, what are everyone elses opinions on this?
cheers
joe

i think we would be best allowing lend-lease vehicles, shermans/stuarts etc, as it gives more options to you all, and they were a major part of the british/commonweaths capability.
i also think it would be ok to allow polish/czech subjects, as long as they are commonweath vehicles, as although these nations arent part of the commonweath, they played a vital role fighting for britain during ww2, however entries for these nations will be limited to ww2 only!
please see the thread i have started in the CCC for this GB
