Hello friends post some pictures of one of the models that I'm working. For this project I used the old ITALERI kit Sherman M4 A1 76mm. Here is the Sherman finished ready for painting. After playing the effect fusion of the entire hull as previously described for the turret in my blog I added and homebuilt all those details that were found to be inaccurate with plasticard and copper wire and with the addition of photoetched parts from an old plate produced by Eduard.Browning M2 machine gun and periscope on the two front hatch are the Verlinden Productions. The most significant work was the construction of sandbags placed on the front of the hull made with Magic-Sculpt putty. The machine gun positioned in front on the hull , some gear and the wheel placed on the sandbags come from an old Tamiya kit while the tracks are from Friulmodel signed ATL 48.

Beautiful work Luigi. Great attention to detail. The only point I can offer is to alter your right tail light. Have a look here https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/56670

Hello friends,I want to know if anyone can help me the length in 1/3I found this photo as a reference.5 scale antenna of the Sherman M 4 A1 76mm.
http://i1362.photobucket.com/albums/r691/luigigraffi/Webbing%20straps/Sherman%20M4%20A1%2076mm%20Ready%20to%20paint/411252397_961db6fad8_b_zpse6eba1aa.jpg
According to you what may be long?
Can I find out the length according to the height of the tank?
Thanks Luigi

Sorry friends the height of the antenna in 1/35.

I beleive each of the segments of the antenna was 34" long, so you're looking at a shade under an inch per segment, say 24.7mm each. The antennas in the photo is made of 3 segments, you can see the joints and the antenna kinks at each joint.
The radio could be operated with anywhere from 1 to 4 segments depending upon how much range you needed, longer getting more range. The part the screwed into the base was the thickest in diameter, the piece on the end was the thinnest and the two that could be used in the ccentre were the same diameter and had a diameter in between the other two.
There was a thread over on Missing Lynx several months ago that had the part neumbers, actual lengths and diameters for each segment called out. If yuo want exact numbers, you can search over there and you should be able to find it.

Thank you very much Paul for the great help and the explanation yuo've described. In the last hours searching the web I found some pictures of an antenna in 1/35 scale produced by Adlers Nest where you see the total length of the antenna, the number of segments and the diameter of the various segments. Also,is described the color of the various junction point of the segments. In your opinion, these measurements are correct?
I attach photos of this material for your opinion.

Very impressive! I find myself drawn more and more to Shermans. They just weren't busy enough for me and I mistakenly thought that all of them only wore OD camo. It's work like this that gets the gears turning. It's just awe inspiring.

Thanks Matt for your comment. What pushes us modelers is almost always the passion for this hobby and every time we finish a job that our thinking is almost always succeed, but those who did make this?
I hope you understand your speech.
In recent times, for the construction of a model we lose much time in search of any documentation that there is useful to achieve the most accurate and complete as possible. It is really worth?I hope so because this time we lose enriches our culture and history.

Here is the discussion on Missing Lynx for your information:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/47208/thread/1357313927/Stuart+Antenna+Length---
It would appear that IF the radio inside the Sherman is an SCR 608/628 then you need that Adler set, the correct base bracket and to use sections MS51, MS52 and MS53 only, for a length of 9 feet. Colour OD.
I'm not sure if the picture of the junction colours is accurate for WW II or not or if they were only applied by a specific WW II unit and not used generally.
If it is a different radio, different antenna sections are used.

Nice work... especially the figure! OMG!

Hi friends I finally finished the Sherman..I set this vehicle attached to the 1St. Armored Division of Allied Army in Italy in 1944.This work has me very passionate both in construction and in the coloring allowing me to try new techniques of painting and weathering but also in historical research and photography. With this project after several years of inactivity the passion for this hobby has regenerated.
