Ok, got a question concerning Sturmtiger. Since we know that the Sturmtiger is based on the Tiger I chassis plus more armor added via slope, what size of a gun would fit on or in the gun compartment? 88mm KwK 36 L/56? 88mm Panzerabwehrkanone 43/1 L/71? 128 mm PaK 44 L/55?
I want to slam a big gun in it but one that would actually fit & work in real life if they ever made one.
Any thoughts?
This is not my model/picture but I found it on the net.
Looks like an 88mm from a Tiger I with a Elephant gun shield.I'm pretty sure it could handle the long barreled 88mm
from a King Tiger? long barreled 88 mm Kampfwagenkanone 43 L/71 gun
What about a howitzer? The Sig 33 is 150mm but we have that already in the Brumbar. What other big howitzer could we put in this monster? Bigger then 150mm.

Hi David, the dimensions are similar to King Tiger, so stick a 128mm in there

Paul

I was thinking of a 105, similar to the diker max gun or a 170. It all depends upon it's intended role.

I'm with Paul. Go for the 128.

This could be another JagdTiger - almost same size as the real JT, larger fighting compartment available for crew, breech, and ammo, and the gun (PaK 43 or KwK 43? 128mm AT) was available and in use.

Of course, if you are perhaps thinking of usurping something from the other side... One of those Russian 152 guns could fit right in here and look plenty robust!

A 128, or larger, gun may fit. I would have to wonder what it would do to the balance of the vehicle, and if the front torsion bars would take the extra strain in combat conditions.
