Well It's time to start another one.
The kit that I am using is Trumpeters King Tiger II Two in One kit.
It gives you both the Porsche and Henschel turrets.
This build is to show the kits build and is not necessarly 100 percent accurate, I am using what came in the box with a few modifications. I don't necessarly need to hear from the EXPERTEN, just enjoy the build and if you are thinking about building it, you might want to keep track of any shortcuts I find.

I start with the assembly of the OUTER ROAD WHEELS
Incase you can't make out the printing on the picture, it is as follows.
Outer Roadwheel Parts=RW1-4 ,RW1-2 ,RW1-1 , RW1-3 & Poly Cap PP1
To assemble start with joining together RW1-4&RW1-2 then scrape the inside of the flange on the inside of RW1-2.
This is where RW1-3 will fit in and is easier to do now.
Next scrape the inside of the flange on RW1-1 and install it over the flange on RW1-2 Finally insert the polycap inside RW1-3 then insert RW1-3 and glue arround the edge. You have now easily assembled the outer road wheels.

I had to laugh about your comments on the "EXPERTEN" it is sometimes daunting making a build log because someone might come along and say that you put something on wrong or back to front in my case

I'll be following this with interest. I've had my eye on this kit for a while now, but I've heard there are fit issues and other problems with it, though I've seen other builds online that end up looking amazing.
As for accuracy issues, personally I'm always interested to hear about them even if I have no plans to correct them.

I got the kit from www.squadron.com
They are out of stock right now, but they get them in every once in a while.
If I yas you and wanted it I would waite until it's on sale.
They have the SU-100 on sale now for about $197

I don't mind them pointing out mistakes, but it's kind of useless after the kit is finished. I mean come on really you expect me to repaint the gun of the SU-100 after the kit is finished or change the radio?
I just build what comes in the box and try to add to it.

First we have the firewall, there are 6 spots where the tabs from the engine compartment side panels show through .
They need to be filled after installing the side panels.

Now we work on the torsion bars
You should cut off the first section if you have assembled the wheel caps to the wheels.
They are not needed and prevent the wheels from fiting all the way on the arms.
There is a lot of filling on these parts, you could probably leave the arms as is but you would have to live with the seams on the road wheel arms.

Here I have the lower hull up on 1 inch wood blocks with the wheels temporarily installed. I did this to set the height of the road wheel arms. The fit of the torsion bars into the sockets inside the hull is excelent, unfortunatly they have a verry slopy fit into the arms. I have glued the arms in position and this is to set them all at the same height.

Both sides in the front will need some filling, the fit is not real good.
Now this is a complete waist of time and material.
It takes 6 parts to build the section, then it is completely hidden. Rather dumb I think.

I have been working on the sub assemblies for the lower hull, they will be photoed when installed.
Ihave also finished the engine. I'd like to shoot the idiot that came up with flexible vinle for the hoses. They are really dificult tofasten in place.
This shows the engine partially assembled, the two assemblies on the toothpicks are air intakes off the exhaust manifolds. The Instructions have them reversed.
On top the engine, the parts that go under the aircleaners wont be seen, you can leave them off if you want.
