My D9R is almost done and I want to place it in a base. There is not enought surface in the tracks to glue the model in the base... Can you help me guys?
Thanks a lot!

I like to eb sure my models are secure so I use a wood screw, up from under the base, to hold them down. I literally bore a slightly undersized hole in the underside of the model and a slightly larger hole and counterbore in the base and screw the model to the base. If the screw is really visible, I'll get a small tube that the screw fits inside, cut it to length, paint the tube matt black and use it to shield the screw threads.
The model won't come off the base and judges at many contests have never, ever dinged me for using this method of attachment.

You could also wire the model to the base via small holes drilled in the base and the wire wrapped around a wheel on each side.

Hi Darren!
Yes, it's a good idea too.
In this case, I need to put the wire around the suspension arm.
Thanks a lot!

The screw method works very well. I used it on my last build without a hitch. It works best for larger vehicles where you can hide the screw fairly well, but Paul's solution is a good one when it will be visible.
