There is no AFV Club Sho't Kal 1982 kit as of now. There is the AFV Club Sho't Kal 1973 kit and a Def Model Sho't Kal '82 conversion set.

It's definitely real......
Search David Chou Afv models on Facebook....can't seem to easily link as I'm on my phone......

If it is in fact true its very exciting for me. Centurion is one of my favs and this will definitely find a place in my collection.

Another plastic, Israeli, Centurion.
What are the two tube-like objects on the vinyl sprue? One is a dust guard, two on the bottom right are the covers for the flare/ smoke boxes but I can't identify the last two? They are also slightly different shapes too by the looks of it.

As far as i can understand they are the tubes in the base of the main gun, fitting in the turret!
But why two of them?

Ah I see what your talking about. One is probably for a 'in recoil' posistion and the other is a normal position?

It would be great addition if the parts for the Dalet version could be also included in the kit!
But for sure the AM companies will have job to do

With a better observation of sprueshots i noticed that the two FN MG'S and the different armor plates noticed in the front part of the hull of the Dalet might be included:

Of course there are some more details for the dalet version such as different gun barrel, a .50 caliber mounted on the front of the turret. Maybe since these are test shots AFV should consider to include in the final product these details for the Dalet version
Since i do not have a facebook account can anybody make a question to David Chou in the FB page about this addition?

Nice, an AFV Club 1982 Centurion. It is about time.
The display model needs a couple of fixes to make it correct and accurate 1982 version:
- Replace the 7.62 mm ammo cans (liners for you Aussies) on the M1919 MG from the WWII ones with the embossed sides with modern ones with smooth sides that hinge from the rear of the can.
- Replace the antenna base/matching units shown in the pictures to the modern/short one with large coiled spring.
The additional bits to update the '73 version model looks quite nice. Damn, I guess that I will be back into my Centurion building mode soon...

The most glaring error (which will hopefully be fixed) is the incorrect commander's hatch. They were replaced with the "Tal" style hatch.

Correct hatch seem to be on the sprue.

Got the Gimel from my local hobby shop today!
There's a little mistake in the kit instructions: We have to glue ERA-elements to the frontal turret roof an that will cover the periscope. Looks like a Mk. 3 with an incorrect loaders hatch, but the kit is based on AF35100 and that's a Mk. 5/1. This problem is easy to solve: Don't glue all ERA-elements to the roof and let the periscope free. The needed parts for this periscope are included on the (old) spues!
And the FN MAGs are also included in this kit but not mentioned in the instructions.

Always teasing. At least give us a hint: are we waiting for more information or more products?

...and what about the turret roof? I think this Sho't kal is based on a Mk. 5 and not om a Mk. 3. Therefore we have not to cover the full forward roof with the era blocks - omit the periscope!

Michael: You are correct. The two blocks to the left over the periscope should not be mounted for the turrets included in the AFV kits.
The new kit is a Dalet, the one released this spring were a Gimel.
Cheers,
