I haven't seen the wire tree technique before. It turned out great! It's definitely something I want to experiment with myself now.

I was quite busy this week, but here is the video for my way of painting a head. This is the closest possible, I'm still getting use to painting and shooting simultaneously

Just watched the video.
Most impressive - you make it look easy.

You get very even smooth strokes on the brush. Cant tell from the angle - do you paint free hand or rest on table ?

Hi, Paul!

I use glaze and retarder (if climate is dry) for the layering-highlights and the shadows, that way they become semi-transparent. Base colors you can apply thicker, because coverage is better.

Figures are almost ready, I will add some pigments on the trousers and the boots, also I need to find decals for the helmet insignia

Brilliantly painted. I would suggest moving the last guys' rifle more toward its' center of balance? It is too far back in his hand and that weight would be very difficult in that position.

I was advised, that at this stage of the war, helmet decals were not applied, that will save me much trouble

Actually, when I'm looking at the second infantryman, appears that the head is not in the best position . Will be corrected

Third and final try with the apple tree, this time I used static grass for the smaller branches and sprinkled the Noch leaves. I think this is the best looking, only have to put the apples

I put the apples, greener and smaller, as recommended. I will add also poison ivy on the building and the fence, some tufts with blossoms etc. But this later
