I know that you are still working on this and so may have already thought about it but have you considered getting some earth colors on the bottom portion of your stone wall ? Plus, maybe some moss of lichen or greenish mold tones around the bottom ? Or maybe some ivey or creeping vines ? I think this will give your wall a sense of being there for a long time. Right now,it looks awesome but it also looks brand new, like it was built last week ? See what I mean ?
Just a suggestion and as I already said, this is looking great !

I still have many work on the scene and yes-creeping ivy, moss and earth effects on the wall and house.
In fact now I'm working on the moss-pictures the following days.
Thank you for the comment

The scene thus far looks great, Venelin. The moss on the wall is very convincing. One suggestion I do have is that the apple tree's bark looks very stark brown in color. It could use a dark wash to bring out some of the details, or maybe even some dry brushing. Otherwise, keep up the great work!

I received this week a set of Alpine figures, which I intend to use on the diorama, next to the Tiger.
It's WSS Infantry set 35168.
Initially I've ordered them from Luckymodel, counting on the "1 week restock" under the figures. Well, after almost 4 months of waiting, my patience was over and I canceled the order. Then I found a guy on Ebay with very positive feedback on the forums-funnyolddog. Very good service and the figures arrived in 1 week .
As for the figures-they are superb with crisp detail and dynamic poses, which I like very much. Two choices of heads as usual-with standard helmet and covered one.
Cheers!

Yes,these are great figs. I have a set and they will look just right with your superb Tiger. There is also a brand new release by Radu figures from Poland with two running WSS guys that will work perfectly with these two. You can see them on the figure forum here.

Venelin,
Beautiful Dio so far. I'm a native of Normandy and the only comment I have is that the color of your apples is wrong for the season. Apple harvest is in Mid-September/October. End of May the trees are still in bloom with the whites flowers. In June, the flower drops and the apples starts forming. End of August/early September the apples start turning red. So technically, during the battle of Normandy, the apples would like more like figs (size and color).
This page (sorry in french only) has the whole timeline with pictures http://www.coteau-st-paul.com/cycle_culture_pomme.html

Thank you, guys!
Keith, my camera is pretty old model-Kodak Z740, but still makes good pictures.
Proceeding with the first infantryman, every part fits without problems, only you should be careful with the riffle muzzle, when removing from the casting block.
Close shot of the face, with blue eyes

Figure looks good! Did you know about the two new figures from Radu Productions ? They are running WSS figs that would fit your scene perfectly.

Yes, we commented them in the news section. Saw them at Hobbyeasy. But I will decide later, if they be added to the scenery.
Next- shadows, highlights, the camo and the small details.

Bill, glad you like it!
Other details painted, I've made the rifle strap from foil with metal buckle from PE set (needs some different browns for leather). The bread bag I will paint lighter color, I'm waiting for some more paints. Rifle is 977 desert yellow for base, then various oils, metal parts with Gunze Metal color 214 Dark iron and 213 Stainless steel for highlights.
